Naughty Dog’s next franchise is currently in development and doesn’t appear to be launching any time soon!
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was revealed at last year’s Game Awards, shocking fans with what’s next from the studio behind the Uncharted and The Last of Us franchises. Update on The Last Of Us Part 3 has left fans with many questions. Naughty Dog’s next sci-fi galaxy-hopping adventure will see us play as Jordan A. Mun. A dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on a distant planet known as Sempiria.

The game has been in development since 2020. The Last of Us Part 2 was in development for 6 years. Does this mean we’re closer to playing Intergalactic? I wouldn’t count on it. In a recent Creator to Creator video, Neil Druckmann, Studio Head & Head of Creative Naughty Dog, went on to say:
“We still have a ways to go and I’m very excited to see where it goes. These things are so complex and big and there’s so many people involved. It’s like, I still don’t know exactly what this thing’s going to look like at the end. I have a theory, I have an idea, but it’s still evolving and changing as we’re making it.”
If Naughty Dog is evolving and changing Intergalactic, we are still a few years away from release. When do you think we’ll see our space jumping adventure? Another 2 years at the earliest is what I think. Let us know your thoughts when we will see Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
