On behalf of GSC Game World, we are excited to announce that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Patch 1.5 is officially live! Patch 1.5 brings one of the most significant updates to date – including new weapons like the powerful Three-Line Rifle and punchy Kora Pistol, along with exciting additions such as tradable mutant parts, an Electric Water Tornado anomaly, and reload renewal. Additionally, Patch 1.5 introduces the Zone Kit – a powerful modding toolset that allows players to shape the Zone to their own vision and toy around with unique ideas!
Incredible new firepower blasting into the game! Patch 1.5 arms players with two formidable new weapons that are perfect for surviving the Zone’s relentless dangers:
The Three-Line Rifle: A lightweight, bolt-action sniper rifle with impressive range and precision. Ideal for sharpshooters, this rifle has quickly become a favorite among veterans of the Zone. Encounter it early in your journey and test your aim against distant threats.
The Kora Pistol: A heavy-hitting, clunky pistol that sacrifices speed for raw power. Each shot from its limited magazine packs a punch, making it a must-have for stalkers who value impactful firepower. Seek out the rare Night Stalker variant, a unique Kora coveted by weapon collectors.

The looting system has been expanded to include the trading of mutant parts, cool right? Patch 1.5 introduces a new feature: mutant parts looting. Defeating bloodsuckers, fleshes, and other mutants now yields valuable parts including eyes, tusks, and tentacles. Trade these with NPCs for coupons – but first, visit Malachite to master the art of harvesting them in tradable condition.
Let’s not forget about the Zone Kit being unleashed to us. The Zone Kit is a powerful new modification tool that will enable players to reshape the zone to their preferred vision. The Zone Kit is available on the Epic Games Store and will provide the player with the freedom to:
-Modify or create new animations, weapons, mechanics, and anomalies.
-Adjust gameplay to suit your preferences, whether you’re seeking more challenge, less difficulty, or something entirely new.
-Share creations effortlessly via mod.io or Steam Workshop, depending on the platform.

Let’s also remember that this is only phase one of the official mod support! So, keep your ears to the ground for more updates regarding the Zone Kit and the near-endless possibilities that are going to be available to us with future updates. Players should be salivating over this!
Other enhancements being brought to the game to streamline the zone for us include:
-Further A-Life improvements.
-New Electric Water Tornado anomaly.
-New vehicle models scattered across the terrain.
-Expanded stash window size for better inventory management.
-Distinct icons for each ammo type, making identification effortless.
-Reload renewal, allowing Skif to seamlessly resume interrupted reloads.
For players using the Ukrainian voiceover, Patch 1.5 adds Ukrainian lip-sync to all non-prerendered cutscenes in an effort to further enhance immersion during key story moments.

I for one am incredibly excited to try out the modding kit that is being provided. My vision of what I’d add to the zone and potentially create is astounding! Another feature I’m absolutely going to try is the new mutant part trading; The fact we now get added benefits when slaughtering the mutants makes things exciting indeed! Not to mention the quality-of-life updates that we’re getting here are making me grin ear-to-ear like the Joker.
Are you guys excited for this? Is this a W update? Let us know in the comments below or over on the Discord!
