Warhorse Studios have released many free updates since the release of their smash hit medieval action-adventure sequel Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, including a hardcore mode for players looking for even more challenge, a barber feature that allows the player to further customize Henry to their liking, horse racing events, and plenty of combat, alchemy, blacksmithing, and other quality of life updates and bug fixes.
Since the release of all of these patched-in updates and fixes, Warhorse have released not only a roadmap for future content but now have announced the official date for the game’s first major paid DLC. The Brushes with Death DLC is set to launch on May 15th which is a tad earlier than the predicted Summer release window, leaving many eager fans thrilled.

The DLC will include new story content which promises to expand on Henry’s journey, and will be available as an individual purchase as well as included in the Expansion Pass, giving players the choice to get the bundle of all future paid content, or just try this one out on its own.
Brushes With Death finds Henry encountering a mysterious painter who is tied to a post and seems to be talking to a skull. Though the premise is mysterious, it will be exciting to uncover the secrets of this painter and whatever else the DLC brings as players undertake this new quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 when it releases soon.
The update will launch as part of the next game patch, so players will not only get new story content, but more-than likely a few more bug fixes and gameplay balancing to improve their overall experience. The next paid DLC Legacy of the Forge is slated to release sometime in the Fall with the third DLC Mysteria Ecclesiae looking at an expected Winter launch.

Just like the first paid DLC coming out soon, these DLCs will further expound on Henry’s story as he embarks on new quests and meets new interesting characters along the way. If these DLCs are anything like the ones released for the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, they will surely be full of cleverly written characters, exciting new adventures, and a host of new and unique gear and weaponry.
One thing is for certain; 2025 will be a big year for fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. With multiple story expansions on the horizon, fairly consistent updates and patches, and surely a bevy of so-far unannounced additions to the already content packed game, things are only looking up for players.
Warhorse has proven their aptitude at telling Henry’s story in a consistent yet creative way, and I believe they will continue to do so faithfully. I think fans of the series are about to be in for a whole lot more fun!
