EA has dubbed the new Battlefield “a pivotal step in delivering on our next generation of blockbuster entertainment”. If this is the promise EA is set to deliver upon, then man am I excited! Having the somewhat rocky Battlefield 2042 released to us in what was a buggy state of affairs, we hope that the new Battlefield can deliver a showstopping entrance.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson has announced in his latest statement that he expects Battlefield’s next title to launch in the window of March 2026, narrowly missing the launch of GTA VI by 2 months! This subject was covered in another article over on our site, here – EA Feels Good Knowing Battlefield Is In The Clear Following GTA VI’s Delay.
Andrew, as part of his financial results, spoke in part about some of EA’s ventures and Battlefield being one of them made it pretty clear that we were looking at getting a summer reveal for the highly anticipated game. Look, I agree we got an underwhelming delivery from Battlefield 2042. However, if we get a solid campaign akin to the likes of Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, then simply take my money! EA looks to deliver on their promise of next generation blockbusters, as per Andrew Wilson, and we hope to look at a highly resolute game to boot.
On a side note, Wilson also confirmed that we will be getting a new skate game at the end of the financial year in April 2026, and it will enter early access sometime this year. However, moving back to Battlefield, it has been in closed testing since March and with users being told to remain in secret, well, we still got images… whoops! In a new update though on X (formerly Twitter), DICE has said it will be expanding testing this month, inviting more players across Europe and North America, and Asia to sign up!
Let us know what you think in the comments below, about a potential blockbuster title. Do we think that it will live up to the hype? Or will we get a Battlefield 2042 2.0?
