Dune Awakening is quickly coming up to its launch next month on June 10th, after being delayed from its original launch of May 20th. Funcom heard players’ feedback from their closed beta (check out my thoughts here from my time with Dune Awakening) and decided they would need a bit more time for polish. Here, we’re getting a bit more insight into how to survive the harsh environment of Arrakis, focusing on base building.
Let’s claim our piece of the desert and build to new heights. We start by siding with one of the many factions within Dune: Awakening, which will influence our architecture and designs that will become our primary base of operations. Looting, crafting, and building piece by piece will all lead to some incredible structures.
From small beginnings to protect yourself from the likes of bandits, the scorching heat of the sun, the massive sandworm or dessert storms. We’ll look to expand as we build structures to house friends, build alliances and store vehicles away from getting destroyed by the sandstorms that lay ahead.
You can sign up to explore Arrakis for yourself on May 9th in the large-scale Beta weekend that ends on May 12th. Dune: Awakening releases on June 10th, with the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition receiving a 5-day head start and exclusive in-game items.
