The Triple I Initiative 2025 was an avalanche of promised “World Premieres, Gameplay Reveals, Launch Dates” and it was honestly hard to keep up. At least twenty eight games were shown and most of those will appear on PC through Steam, GoG & Epic Games Store. Many of these will also be available on PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S. Even Nintendo appeared twice, no doubt only possible because of the hardware improvements of the Switch 2.
The Triple I Initiative has once again proven there are an incredible amount of games to be excited for! Xbox Game Pass members in particular, have these three games coming this summer:

Rematch
Rematch is developed by Sloclap.
Launches June 19, 2025 on Steam, PlayStation + Xbox Game Pass.
Sloclap, known for their 2022 hit Sifu, is developing a competitive soccer/football game that looks to be dripping with their unique style. Unlike hockey, soccer does not pause play to allow two men to hash out their differences in fisticuffs; so it is a little unclear when or how Sifu’s martial methods may be applied..
Anyways- online options include 3v3, 4v4, & 5v5 player matches. It is intended to be an online experience but there will be offline practice and freeplay modes. There is no currently planned single player story or season modes however the developers state on their website “Although a solo campaign is not on our current roadmap, we do have a few single-player workshops and we might see more single-player content in the future.” There will be microtransactions at launch, but they are limited to cosmetics only. Surely the microtransactions will potentially justify single-player content but personally, I am hopeful that they are not pushed very hard in-game as this is not a free-to-play model.
Pricing is set at:
Standard Edition: US$29.99/24.99€
Pro Edition: US$39.99/34.99€
Elite Edition: US$49.99/44.99€
An open beta for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC is scheduled for April 18, 2025, accessible to all who register on the games official website.

The Alters
The Alters is developed by 11 Bit Studios.
Launches June 13, 2025 on Steam, GoG, Epic Games, PlayStation 5, & Xbox Series X|S + Game Pass.
11 Bit Studios is the same developers behind This War of Mine and Frostpunk, the latter of which is an absolutely brutal depiction of man vs nature. This War of Mine shows that the studio is also capable of some deeply thoughtful narrative and environmental storytelling- The Alters dares to combine both of those elements into a one-of-a-kind game. Moving a survival habitat around in search of supplies and rescue, Jan Dolski must create alternate versions of himself to attempt survival. Each of these “alters” are slightly different from Jan in strange and sometimes bizarre ways. I have been watching this game since its reveal at the 2022 PC Gaming Show; the alters look like they will make for a wacky experience and I can’t wait! I’ll be there on day one on Game Pass.
Unfortunately the collectors editions, and pricing models are not known at this time.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 Bit Studios.
Launching “Summer 2025” on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S + Xbox Game Pass.
Indie studio Digital Sun’s breakout hit was the original 2018’s Moonlighter. It was such a great success that a sequel was approved and this time in 3D. Moonlighter 2 is part dungeon crawler and part shopkeeping in a small town called Tresna. Our protagonist Will is a merchant that sources his wares from dangerous procedurally generated “Vaults” at night, when he’s not running the shop. Town building elements aren’t the only thing that is new; 3D control and map design makes for an incredibly deeper combat system than possible in Moonlighter 1. Similarly the loot, upgrades, relics, and inventory systems will all be deeper to reflect the complexity of the third dimension.
Moonlighter 2’s striking visuals are now more detailed yet still retain a semblance of the original’s style.
The various editions and pricing models are not known at this time however, a demo is available on Steam until April 17, 2025.

Those are three reasons to be excited, especially for Xbox Game Pass members!
