Everything Coming To The Monster Hunter Wilds Free Update Next Month

During today’s Monster Hunter Wilds showcase, producer Ryzoz Tsjimoto revealed our first look into the free Title Update arriving on April 4 2025. Monster Hunter Wilds launched on February 28th to critical reviews with a score of 89 from the media and a 72 from users on Metacritic. Once you’ve finished the main campaign of Monster Hunter Wilds, you have the option to continue on with more hunting or wait for the next big drop of content. If you haven’t continued to grind your Hunter Rank, you may want to get back in there before April 4th.

The new title update 1 will feature some new, yet returning monsters. The bubbly leviathan Mizutsune will make its way to the Forbidden Lands after finishing its destruction in Monster Hunter Rise. Yes, a cross-over of monsters is on their way. In order to begin the hunt, you will be required to be Hunter Rank 21. There you will need to unlock the mission to hunt the Mizutsune by speaking with Kanya in the Scarlet Forest. If you have been busy away working on my HR and have reached level 41, you’ll be able to battle the Tempered Mizutsune and those who have achieved level 50, keep your eye out for the Arch-tempered Rey Dau with the Event Quests and look to forge some new gear from your hunt. With Hunter Rank 50, you will also unlock a mission to hunt Zoh Shia, after which the fearsome monster will appear during the Wyvern’s Wakening in the Ruins of Wyveria for additional hunts and the ability to gather Zoh Shia parts for high-rank hunter and Palico equipment.

We aren’t done with Monster Hunter Wilds update yet though. Expect new Arena Quests, Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests to begin appearing with the latest update. Challenge Quests, and new to the game, Free Challenge Quests, will appear as a limited-time Event Quest. Arena Quests and Challenge Quests can be completed with up to two players using pre-determined equipment. While, Free Challenge Quests have no equipment restrictions and can include hunting parties of up to four players or complete them all solo you badass!

We saw our first look at the Grand Hub, a massive gathering space for Hunters. Speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja after reaching Hunter Rank 16 unlocks the Grand Hub, at which point the Squad Information Counter will relocate here from the Windward Plains. You’ll be able to listen to the Diva at night or play mini-games like Barrell Bowling here. Yes, I said Barrell Bowling. Don’t ask me, just watch the trailer. The Grand Hub will feature unique celebrations for each new season. Festival of Accord: Blossomdance will run from April 23rd to May 7th. Attending the festival will reward players with limited-time equipment, gestures, Pop-Up Camp decorations, and more. In addition to seasonal Event Quests, most previously held Event Quests will also make a return. Arch-tempered Rey Dau will appear as part of an Event Quest near the conclusion of the festival from April 30 to May 21.

A new outfit for Alma will become available after completing a certain side ques, new gestures alongside Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 to offer stand-alone items for Premium Deluxe Edition Pass Holders. We can also look for another update planned to arrive closer to the end of May. The next update will feature another collaboration from a Capcom title. Any guesses? We’ll receive the ability to see our Endemic Life we’ve captured and more adjustments on the way. And one more Title Update coming this summer to Monster Hunter Wilds.

Let us know if you’re still playing Monster Hunter Wilds, or are you waiting for the new Title Update to drop next month?
