The Xbox app just got a lot better with many fan-requested features. Xbox continues to focus on bringing more features to the Xbox app by allowing players to buy games, join Game Pass, and redeem perks directly from the Xbox app.
Today Xbox announced fans with Game Pass Ultimate will be able to stream select games they own as well as the Game Pass catalog of games on their Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. This feature was previously announced but not released until today. You will be able to stream your catalog of games on more devices such as: Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Meta Quest headsets, phones, tablets and browser-supported PCs all without the need to download and install the game.
Xbox will begin to roll out this feature to beta users on iOS and Android and become available soon on the Google Play Store and Apple Store for others in the future. The app will have the ability to buy games and add-on content in just a few short clicks.

Xbox is continuing to grow the list of streaming games you own in your collection for Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) and is always adding new titles for Game Pass members. Check out the games for April here. You will now be able to play any installed game on your Xbox on more devices that are supported by a web browser by going to xbox.com/remoteplay. Once there, you will be able to begin playing. The app recently had the Xbox remote play feature directly within the app, which now appears to be removed and will require players to use a browser instead of accessing the remote play feature from within the app. This is a weird decision to remove an easily accessible feature from the app and force players to now access a browser to play. Maybe one day in the future they’ll be able to correct this.
Hold on to your old games as, starting later this month, backward-compatible games from your original Xbox and Xbox 360 will also be streamable via remote play.
Let us know if any of these updated features have you excited, and will you be streaming more from your Xbox?
