The team at Omeda have been busy once again taking in feedback from their players and already jumping into the next patch to find that ever-evolving balance. Finding the sweet balance of a MOBA is something that will never end when it comes to the game. New heroes are introduced, new metas are formed and a constant flow of players will always keep the game evolving.
Predecessor is in a excellent spot after Omeda launched their largest patch to-date with 1.4. However, as mentioned before, once the patch is in the wild, the team will then be able to truly see how the game changes, good and bad! Here’s the latest batch of fixes and most noticeable changes with Predecessor’s Patch 1.4.5.
Firstly, some new HOT skins: Archangel Muriel [Uncommon] and Construction GRIM.exe [Uncommon].

You can get the new Archangel Muriel Bundle from the store.
◆Muriel [Hero]
◆Archangel Muriel [Skin]
◆Angelic Love [Overhead Emote]
◆Archangel Muriel [Banner]
◆Archangel Muriel [Icon]

There are a host of new fixes and improvements on the way. Discord was recently integrated into the game and the team will look to expand upon the integration by allowing you to link your Discord account to unlock other chat functionalities. You can send and receive private Discord messages from friends outside the game.
Coming soon: Linked Discord accounts in the future will also let you import your Discord friends directly into your Predecessor friend list — making it easier than ever to party up.
Starting April 8th, players will likely find matches sooner thanks to NA-East and NA-West servers merging into one with NA Central servers. One other server to note is that OCE servers with location in Australia are staying!
One welcomed change that has been implemented is the new minimap update. The update to the minimap will help players with increased lane visibility, better objective markers to match the color of their buff, outline surrounding the minimap for a clearer vision of the minimap and increased icons and pings. A very welcome addition indeed. Now if they could only add a more visible outline around the hero when in the banning phase. That yellow is tough to see!

Other notable changes coming in patch 1.4.5 are Death Timers. They are being increased! This will be a hot topic among the community, I’m sure. Omeda’s reasoning is to allow the players to capitalize on their kill and take the early game objective. Death Timers at Levels 1-8 increased from 6/9/12/14/16/18/20/22 to 7/10/12/14/17/19/21/23. It’s a small increase, but still substantial enough if you are the one waiting to spawn back into the game.
Fangtooth will see itself go back up to a 5-minute starting time once again. With patch 1.4, Fangtooth was changed to start at the 4-minute mark of a match that proved to be too early. Orb Prime will have its respawn increased by a minute, taking it from 4m 30s to now 5m 30s.
Heroes will also see changes and among them will be the latest to join the game, BORIS! If you thought he was a beast when he launched in patch 1.4 you were right. Now he’ll see some changes to hopefully help us manage this furious half-machine half-bear all beast. Boris’ early game is being tamed as he had very few consequences when diving players early.

General:
◆Physical Power decreased from 59 to 57.
◆Health decreased from 730 to 705.
◆Health Growth decreased from 126 to 124.
◆Physical Armor decreased from 29 to 28.
◆Physical Armor Growth decreased from 4.2 to 4.
Chrono Swipe [Alternate]:
◆Damage decreased from 20/30/40/50/60 to 15/25/35/45/55.
These are just some of the highlights of patch 1.4.5. You can find the full breakdown over on the Predecessor site. Let us know what you think of these changes to Predecessor in the comments below.
