In the latest patch coming to the third person MOBA, Predecessor. Omeda breaks down the smaller-sized patch for us, though, it still packs a punch!
New skins are here, bug fixes, the community requested redesign of Skylar and, for those up in the clouds, some tweaking for Wukong as well. The new patch 1.5.7 will look to launch next week on May 20th and will bring some bling when it arrives.
First up, new skins! Crunch is getting an Epic Fight Night Crunch skin and will look to punch his way to the top in style. Phase will receive a Rare skin with the Bass Kitty, and last but not least, the 2025 Victorious Bundle, which you will also be able to purchase these items separately if preferred.
Skylar’s rework comes in thanks to Omeda for listening to community feedback and redesigning her overall newly added default skin. No fear, however, her original skin isn’t leaving for those who currently own Skylar. The new rework also looks to build on her backstory of an escaped convict with an unfortunate past and an unknown future. Hopefully, we’ll look to learn more about all of our heroes’ backstories in the future.
Along with new skins comes a wave of hero adjustments, which you can find here. However, our latest hero, Wukong, has certainly been a divisive addition to many. A hero I have seen band in nearly every ranked match I play. However, Omeda has also made some changes to the hero, from a bunch of ability decreases, and a couple of increases. Wukong will also now become an optional announcer. He’ll call the shots, hype you up and even mock your enemies. Lastly, a new select screen for beginners will be implemented with a smaller selection pool of heroes, so they don’t become overwhelmed with the 30-plus heroes to choose from. With each new patch, it seems the team is always adjusting and tweaking our heroes to help balance the game.
