UPDATE: Hyper Light Breaker

While we wait for our first major content drop from Heart Machine with their latest game, Hyper Light Breaker. The ‘Buried Below’ will be their BIG content drop. We are getting a smaller monthly update to hold us over.

Hyper Light Breaker released in Early Access on Steam back in January and sits with mixed reviews.

“Early access is early access, and not all games enter it equally. I get that. But not only is this rough, it’s also moving in the wrong direction, in my opinion”. Said one recent player, while another thought a bit differently, stating “I have no idea in what state it was before, but my experience in these last 3 days has been thoroughly enjoyable. Managed to close my first cycle properly in about 6 hours”. Early Access is meant to help the developers not only with funding for the game but to get player feedback to help improve the game. Early Access isn’t a finished game, so know what you’re getting into. However, if you are currently playing and wondering what’s coming next to HLB, we have you covered.

The March update will bring a new class with the arrival of the Assassin and their weapon for this month’s update. Along with a new class and weapon, Heart Machine will also implement “Fog of War” to the map. A gameplay feature that we’ve seen across many games, will now be added to HLB. The map will, however, reveal a few key locations, but, it’s up to you and your friends to uncover the rest of the map. The team will be listening to player feedback as this feature is implemented.

“Being able to experiment and engage with the community this way is one of the key reasons we wanted to release Hyper Light Breaker into Early Access”. Said the Heart Machine Team.

Have you jumped into Hyper Light Breaker’s Early Access? What do you think of the game so far?
