As we roll into uncertain times with The Witcher 4 being on the not-so-close horizon, we look at Denise Gough, the voice actress of our beloved Yennifer, and what she had to say about The Witcher 4’s potential future!
With news of The Witcher 4 production being ramped up last November, we look forward to potentially seeing a new entry into the series, possibly some time in 2027. We look at what Denise Gough had to say regarding the role of Yennifer of Vengerberg. Speaking with Eurogamer, Denise Gough said “I don’t know any of this” regarding the news of The Witcher 4, much less did she know about the height of development we are currently at with The Witcher 4.
Denise, who also now stars in the new Star Wars series Andor as the imperial officer Dedra Meero, also spoke about how being a video game character’s voice actress surprised her. She said “I didn’t know what i was doing, and then lots of, usually men, would approach me and whisper to me “are you Yennifer?” and I was like who’s Yennifer?”
The powerful sorceress, who plays a part of the cast’s main trio of characters alongside Geralt and Ciri, is being cast into doubt in a return to The Witcher 4 as we look forward to digging into the flesh of more news regarding the upcoming addition to the video game series. Developer CD Projekt Red has codenamed The Witcher 4 “Polaris”. What we do know is that Ciri will look to play a leading role within the launch and “Polaris” looks to have a darker vibe and feel.
