A Teddy Bear Twist on Classic Zombie Survival
Stuffed is a unique take on the first-person shooter genre, blending the nostalgic chaos of Call of Duty: Zombies with an imaginative world where you defend a child’s bedroom as a toy bear. It’s a quirky premise, and one that’s executed with an impressive amount of charm, even if the experience still feels like it’s in its early stages.
Solid FPS Mechanics and Creative Weaponry
At its core, Stuffed delivers a surprisingly tight FPS experience. The shooting mechanics feel responsive and satisfying, which is no small feat for an indie title. Where the game really shines is in its homemade weaponry, the toy inspired guns brings a sense of creativity that adds real flavor to the action.

Impressive Enemy Design and Atmosphere
The visual presentation is another strong point. I found myself very impressed with the army of nightmarish gnomes and kids toys! The shadow monsters were very creepy and really reminded me of the shadow enemies from Kingdom Hearts. I really did love fighting hordes of evil things in a bright and colourful house.

Customization Adds Personal Flair
Players can personalize their teddy bears with a variety of cosmetic options, offering a fun incentive to keep playing and unlocking more content. While this doesn’t directly affect gameplay, it adds a layer of identity that works well in multiplayer, assuming you can find someone to play with.
Solo Play Feels Limited, Multiplayer Has Potential
Unfortunately, Stuffed currently suffers from a lack of active players. During my review, finding a multiplayer match proved incredibly difficult, and while the solo experience is serviceable, it lacks the chaos and camaraderie that makes wave based survival modes truly shine. This is clearly a game built with co-op in mind, and it would likely be significantly more enjoyable with a few fellow bears.

A Fun Foundation, But Needs More Content
Ultimately, Stuffed lays down a fun foundation. The premise is creative, the core mechanics are solid, and the game has a lot of heart. However, it’s hard to ignore how barebones the current offering is.
Final Thoughts
Stuffed is an imaginative and surprisingly competent indie FPS that successfully taps into the COD Zombies nostalgia with a fresh twist. It’s not quite ready to be a staple in anyone’s game rotation, but with updates and a stronger community, it could absolutely become a sleeper hit. I strongly believe being an addition to something like Xbox Gamepass would really benefit the game.
