The 2024 hit Stellar Blade has moved over one million units and is still on the up, with Developer Shift Up looking to have quietly revealed a new title to follow on from the first instalment.
During a recent company presentation, a document revealed at said presentation from May 16th went through the company’s financials, awards and plans for the future, one of which featured Stellar Blade 2. If you skip to Page 19, you can see a neat little chart which shows us the scheduled planning. The planning includes Goddess of Victory: Nikke, a separate Shift Up title, a potential future project named “Project Witches” and Stellar Blade. On closer inspection at the Stellar Blade section, it shows that a “platform expansion” is planned and a “sequel”!
This has all been set in motion for before 2027, which in turn means we could see a Stellar Blade 2 from now to 2026, which is insane, actually. Plans are, of course, subject to change, which, as we know, is always a possibility due to delays out of anyone’s hands and any circumstances which could push the release window back. However, it looks increasingly clear that we could be seeing a Stellar Blade 2 at some point, and we should be waiting for an official announcement or an official trailer! Damn, I’m stoked! I loved Stellar Blade, and it was among the 2024’s biggest hits!
