Today, Ninja Theory revealed that one of the few remaining Xbox exclusive titles will no longer be exclusive as Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will head to PlayStation this summer. The game will be optimized for the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Pro, and release a free update with a host of new features for PlayStation, Xbox and PC players.
After the highly successful release of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice back in 2017, it was only a matter of time before fans would receive a sequel. Ninja Theory, known for their incredible audio design and the standout performance from Melina Juergens. Juergens initially worked as a stand-in for Senua during the development of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, helping Ninja Theory refine their motion capture techniques, until she later found herself playing the role of Senua. Now, she’s become a force in the industry and has won several awards for her role in Senua’s Sacrifice and Hellblade ll with Best Performance at The Game Awards.

Once again, we see Xbox continuing its path forward of playing Xbox games everywhere and anywhere. With a recent concern from developers beginning to ask the question…”why make a game for Xbox” fans seem to ask themselves a similar question, “why buy an Xbox” if all of their games will eventually make their way to PlayStation.
