PUBG Is Building In 2025

When PUBG (Players Unknown Battlegrounds) first launched back in 2017, yes, it’s been that long! No one thought it would climb the Steam charts so quickly, taking the world by storm. A new battle royale has taken charge of the landscape and many wondered if it had the staying power. Now PUBG Corp, is looking to expand and build for the future starting in 2025. Better yet, have the players build with UGC, (user-generated content).

That’s right, the PUBG Team will look to their fans to create other experiences within the PUBG universe. They feel that players should have more than just developer-created content and want players to have a space to create, share, and enjoy their own experiences with they PUBG UGC Project.

The PUBG UGC Project will allow fans to create their own worlds and rules to share with others. UGC project enables players to set their own rules for a mode, using a system based on rounds and points. Additionally, a world editing feature is in development, allowing players to place buildings and assets freely to create their own unique environments. The PUBG Team will look to launch the alpha version this year.

When the initial version launches later in 2025, it sounds to be limited. However, the PUBG team will look to evolve the platform with player feedback. Though the first system is designed to support various game modes, the first goal is to introduce a TDM-style mode. Players will be able to save and load their custom modes at any time and will see a share feature added in the future.

Also, during the PUBG Roadmap, it was stated “we have been listening closely to this feedback” as they will be looking to transition PUBG to current gen consoles in late 2025. YES, we are finally getting a much-needed update for console players. The current console version of the game is very technically limiting. Slow map load times, FPS and graphical quality. Transitioning to current gen consoles will allow the PUBG Team to leverage the much more powerful hardware, giving players the performance, gameplay and graphical boost console players have been asking for. This much-requested update will launch on Xbox and PlayStation in late 2025.

Let us know if you’re playing PUBG and how excited about the update you are!
