New Game Announcement from Level Infinite as they Look to Spook Fans in First VR Venture

Level Infinite looks to make an impression on the VR market as they surprised fans with a new game announcement coming in the shape of Dread Meridian, a survival horror game which comes from the developer KUKRGAME. For their first outing in the VR terrain this looks pretty good, a dark and gripping environment which will look to spook and scare players in frightening ways.

Dread Meridian is being designed from the ground up for PC VR and Meta Quest 2, 3, and 3S and looks to rubber stamp its first ever venture into the unknown world of VR a solid addition. What we saw from the trailer above was a tense and unknown terrain which will be known as Oglanbyen, a island which is crusted over with ice and snow, as the female protagonist looks to uncover the mystery and horrors that await. As with any other VR game, ensure that you prepare yourself for a full-frontal adventure.

Touching on what we saw from the trailer, our apt female lead will look to find her twin sister who is lost on a remote, frozen isle which seems to be transcending into madness. Puzzles, creepy figures and fear-instilling environments await fans in what seems to be a dark and haunting world. The guys over at KUKRGAME are ensuring you get more thrills than spills though as they look to make the player feel every moment within the newly announced title, as you utilise your resources and ensure you have enough bullets left in the satchel to battle the horrors Daniella will be facing, and if you run out of bullets, will you survive with your trusty blade or succumb to the disfigured characters who are out to tear you away from the land of the living?

With no official release window just yet, the team over at Level Infinite are keeping the VR fans tight to them as they are already scheduling community testing for the title later this year with the development team looking to gather as much user feedback as possible to make sure that their first game into the VR space is solid. Alongside this, us the fans can expect to see updates regarding the launch of the game in the near future as we can expect there to be some brand-new information as well…

The development team look to be making plans for a co-op PvE mode that will take place within the game, and with this being speculated on right now, will this be Daniella and her long-lost sister? Or will it feature another trusty protagonist to aid the faithful sibling in her journey? If the game has taken your fancy, and you want to keep up to date with what you see, make sure to keep an eye on the newswire on their official website and, if you really want, follow their social media pages too! – X (Formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram, as well as their official discord.

From what we have seen, this may have to be a kop over a drop as this title fascinates me, as it gripped that side of me that irks for horror and wants to be engaged in a thrilling tale. Not only this, but if the game is being designed fully ground up for VR, this could be one of the most airtight VR games we get for a long time, as there have been some flops in regards to the games we have seen released.
