Expedition 33 have revealed some new details to keep us excited for the upcoming release later this month on April 24th. “Death is a friend who will welcome you home” gives us a new look at Expedition 33 character Sciel. A new look at Sciel let’s us watch her in action, from her abilities and move set, to a peek into her more playful side.
Sandfall Interactive also gave us new details about the PC and consoles versions of the game ahead of launch as we prepare to the destroy the Paintress to end her curse and save us all. PC players will be able to tweak their PC settings from to Low to Epic pre-sets that will work best on each individual PC hardware. Consoles players will be able to choose from the console standard of Performance or Quality graphic modes to improve their choice of framerate or image resolution. Expedition 33 will also have enhanced features for the PS5 PRO players while Xbox players can already pre-load the game ahead of launch.
The game’s digital release will be synced globally to launch at 12 a.m. PDT, so players around the world can experience the game together, avoiding spoilers! Hopefully.
Sandfall also revealed their will be 55 Achievements or 56 Trophies, including the Platinum Trophy for those who are more of the completionist and look to turn over every stone and completely wrap up the game to no end. Here’s a sneak peek at your Achievement or Trophy hunting list.
- Expeditioner – Reach level 33.
- Overcharge – With Gustave, use a fully charged Overcharge that Breaks an enemy.
- Follow The Trail – Find all of the journals from prior expeditions.
- Professional – Defeat a boss without taking any damage.
- Connoisseur – Find all 33 music records.
For those collectors out there, you can also pick up the collectors edition of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 if you are lucky enough to track one down. It appears to be already sold out!
