Mortal Kombat 1 was released two years ago in September 2023 and has had one full-story DLC expansion with Khaos Reigns and two Kombat packs since launch. Now, Warner Bros has announced that Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition is available today for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (Not recommended to play on the Switch) as well as PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Warner Bros, have canceled any further story expansions after Khaos Reigns didn’t seem to connect all that well with fans. There is still a lot of head-ripping, animal annihilating (animalities have made a return) fun to be had for those looking to get into the latest installment of Mortal Kombat, which has sold over 100 million units worldwide. Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition content can be purchased separately, or bundled together for $69.99 USD.
