Man, The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC is a real gem. This isn’t some slapped-together port. It’s the full package. It’s a sharpened take on Ellie and Abby’s brutal revenge tale. It’s a solid 10/10 in my eyes. I played it on PS4 ages ago. Then, I experienced the PS5 port. Now, I’m playing it on PC. It’s just as gripping. There are no lazy shortcuts here. I’m a fan.
The visuals are crisp—4K makes every raindrop and wrecked building pop like nobody’s business. It runs smooth, no stutters or nonsense, just steady frames that let you dive right in. Hook up a PS5 controller, and the haptic feedback makes every shot and punch feel real—good stuff. It’s not overblown, just well-executed. I’m running the game on highest settings.

The No Return mode is a big win. It’s a roguelike deal. You fight through random enemy waves such as clickers and humans. Now, they’ve tossed in Bill and Marlene as playable characters. Bill’s a “Smuggler” type. He grabs a custom pump shotgun from drops and tanks melee hits like a champ. However, he can’t dodge worth a damn. Marlene’s a “Risk Taker.” She uses a custom assault rifle and plays high-stakes gambits. She also reroutes her path once per run for some flexibility. They mix up the chaos nicely, and with four new maps—Overlook, School, Streets, Nest—it’s a fresh grind every time.
I missed the inclusion of Bill in this game’s story. I was overjoyed to finally play as him this time around in this very fun mode. I never really cared for Marlene and only gave her a brief run.

Story still hits hard. Ellie’s revenge spiral and Abby’s redemption arc don’t mess around—they’re raw and stick with you. I still get sad seeing Joel, well you know. Combat’s tight as always, and it all clicks. New PC players get a treat; vets won’t regret the upgrade cost. It delivers, plain and simple.
Thank you to PlayStation for the code.
Final Score 10/10.
