Rockstar took the world over once again by finally releasing a new trailer for GTA VI, which quickly came after the announcement of the delay to May 26th 2026. More on that here. Now that the new trailer is out in the wild, fans are feverishly combing through it for any insights they may find, as Rockstar is very good at hiding secrets throughout their trailers.
One X account, TGG, suggests that we may receive DLC in the future for GTA VI, after what they believe is a small glimpse into the future of the game. GTA V also had plans for DLC which were squashed by the massively successful GTA Online focus from Rockstar and the move to Red Dead Redemption 2. The last GTA DLC for a story campaign was in GTA IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony.
TGG suggests we could see players leave Leonida (Florida) behind and head off to new locations. The theory comes via the license plates found throughout the trailer. Gloriana (for Georgia), Arizona and Liberty City plates are seen below.

Now, this is all a theory and should be taken with a grain of salt! However, there is a slight chance of this being true. Right below TGG’s post was another from GTA Gossip who makes not of to Jason Schreier’s post from 2020. Stating that:

So, there certainly is a possibility of new locations being added to the scope of GTA VI in the future. With GTA Online getting the support of Rockstar through 3 generations of consoles, the recent bringing on of UGC talent and the like, GTA VI will surely be here for a decade or two to come.
Let us know what you think of this theory in the comments below.
