Hogwarts Legacy Reaches New Low Price on Steam – Best Deal for Fans

Harry Potter fans rejoice! You can enjoy the lowest price yet for Hogwarts Legacy on Steam for just 12 bucks! Only 12 measly dollars! Which means it sits at an 80% discount from its typical $60 tag. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for a fan of the franchise looking to get their hands on a brilliant example of a Harry Potter universe game that utilizes modern technology!

Launched in February 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC with ports back to the last generation, such as Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 ports coming later. It has been a whole 2 years and a little bit since its release, and NOW is the best time to grab it while it’s significantly discounted. As a huge fan of the game and franchise myself, I can nearly assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Developed by Avalanche software and published by the one and only Warner Bros. Hogwarts Legacy became the best-selling game of 2023 with 22 million copies shipping that year alone and opening with extremely positive reviews despite boycotting efforts!

With the title being in its most complete and finished state, of course, with Avalanche studios cancelling an unannounced DLC and looking to set their full focus on the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, this is probably the best time ever to buy the game. As a fan of the Harry Potter series and a big fan of the game, I can for sure tell you that this is the time. It was great at full price when it released, and it’ll probably feel even better to get your hands on now with all of the updates and added content allowing new players to enjoy the experience in its entirety.

From niche references that true eagle-eyed enthusiasts will recognize to blatant references that most HP fans will notice, Hogwarts Legacy stands as a mountain in the valley of the wizarding world where fans can enjoy seeing Hogwarts castle and grounds, with the famous Quidditch court, to the village of Hogsmeade where you can find pets and brooms to fly around the open-world you are presented with, OH and let’s not forget the Forbidden Forest where creatures lurk…

The discount is part of the “Back to Hogwarts” promotion on Steam, where you can grab Hogwarts Legacy at a steal, alongside the Harry Potter Collection costing $8 and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions costing $6 respectively. All the games in the collection being featured on Steam come at a clever time when, in the UK, schools are due back after summer break. With the franchise primarily being British, whomever the marketing team at the world-renowned online platform deserves a cheer!

When I mentioned a sequel to the Hogwarts Legacy game, not much is known about the title so far. However, a rumour being turned in the mill is that the game will have branching narratives, as Warner Bros. listed a job advertisement as “screenwriting and branching dialogue”. If that isn’t a hint at what is to come, I don’t know what is. Warner Bros. also put in the job description, “an ability to build compelling, complex and branching narratives”, so whomever is taking that role, we hope you do the series justice!

With rumours being circulated regarding the awaited Hogwarts Legacy sequel, there has been a large suggestion that the game’s ‘open world’ will change over time. Again, this rumour came from a job advert which, I may add, didn’t state whether the changes would be small, cosmetic or even larger ones, so this rumour is still very much staying in the grain sack. However, it’s also with due care to keep these rumours taken with a pinch of salt as nothing is confirmed until official announcements are made, as there is still a lot of time that the game’s ideals could change.

Are you going to grab yourself a bargain and get one of the Harry Potter games? I would massively suggest that you take advantage of if you are lucky enough to be able to use Steam, as Hogwarts Legacy is a fantastic addition to the wizarding world, alongside the Harry Potter Collection, the quidditch game though? Take it lightly, as I, myself, did not enjoy it, but as everyone has different tastes, you as a fan may enjoy it!
