With Helldivers 2 releasing on the 26th of August on Xbox consoles, the legion of soldiers is already raring to go at the thought of getting some new recruits for the fight for democracy and for Super Earth. Arrowhead Studios have teased a crossover which will have fans of Xbox and the Halo series buzzing for the near future.
As you can see in the trailer above, we seem to be getting a lot of content and a lot to be excited about. I, for one, cannot wait to dive (pardon the pun) into defending the innocent and putting on a fight against these aliens and machines. Strap me up, boys, because I’m going to be a hero!
As our PlayStation brethren have seen first hand, the fight needs more soldiers and boy, are there going to be a lot more deployed to duke it out. However, if you notice, right at the end of the trailer we see something very familiar to us Xbox fans, and Halo fans alike. The ODST, that’s right, a teaser for the ODST and for what’s to come. The ODST are badass soldiers and will fight for democracy alongside the Helldiver soldiers already deployed, and we can’t wait!
The reveal gave us explosions, gunfights and a soldier failing a simple task only to be butted away by his teammates. But as we know, there are all types of shenanigans to be had in the game, and we are surely excited to be involved with them. In this space squad shooter where you battle through an ever-evolving galaxy, to not only save innocent people but to spread democracy by destroying its foes, Xbox players are excited to get their first impressions and play alongside their friends.
Helldivers 2 is coming to us Xbox fans from the PlayStation front, but not without return as they get one of our own beloved games, Gears of War. Enjoy PS fans, enjoy as I wish I could play the gem for the first time again, because it holds so much nostalgia for me as an OG player. Enjoy!
