GTA VI | Rockstar says “GTA VI’s new trailer is the biggest video launch of all time”

GTA VI’s new trailer has been viewed more times than major Hollywood movie trailers, which, in the grand scheme of things, is insane. That shows us how people are anticipating the new title to release and let me tell you that we are looking at a hell of a good summer in 2026!

The new trailer dropped on Tuesday as a bit of a surprise reveal, and it hit over 475 MILLION views across all platforms on day one. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that this is more than the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, which hit 365 million views on the first day, along with The Fantastic Four, First Steps, which hit more than 200 million views. Hollywood being toppled by a video game trailer is literally beyond comprehension, Rockstar, you can indeed take a bow.

One of the guys here at Everything Nerd covered the recent drop in an article on our site. If you want to learn a little more about that, here it is – GTA VI Trailer 2 Just DROPPED | To New Beginnings. However, stick with me as we delve a little deeper into the skin of the huge drop and how it’s busting into our lives!

The GTA 6 trailer also had a huge impact on the soundtrack which backed it, The Pointer Sisters’ Hot Together. Spotify estimated a HUGE 182,000% increase in streams of the track. This means The Pointer Sisters can indeed point towards Rockstar, and thank them for the increase in revenue from their latest trailer!

Within the newest trailer, we got a fresh look at the main protagonists and a look at what to expect when the game launches. We are looking at a gorgeous-looking game with extremely realistic-looking characters! Either way, we cannot wait for the drop of the game and with the newest trailer-busting views across platforms, we are certainly in for a wild ride in GTA VI!

Let us know in the comments below what you think about the view-busting trailer. Do you think that GTA VI will live up to the hype? Or do you think it could be a tough piece to deliver?
