Ghost Of Yotei “Is Even Better” Than Tsushima Says Former PlayStation Exec

“Sucker Punch has done it again,” says former PlayStation Exec, Shuhei Yoshida. Yoshida is once again making his rounds with more interviews and speaking with French website PlayStation Inside, translated by GamesRadar, Yoshida has spoken out about some of his time playing Ghost of Yotei.

“Ghost of Tsushima felt incredible to play,” Yoshida told them, “and having played Ghost of Yotei at several stages of its development, I can assure you that it will be even better, and that Sucker Punch has done it again!”

Yoshida told PlayStation Inside that Sucker Punch “worked extensively with a Japanese producer, as well as colleagues at Japan Studio” to help with production on Ghost of Tsushima.

“Japan is a difficult market for Western games,” said Yoshida. “I think you need an understanding of Japan and its culture, especially for games like Ghost of Tsushima or Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which are set in the country and talk about its history.”

Taking everything they have learned from Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei will have to raise the bar in an effort to exceed their previous title. Though Ghost of Yotei is indeed a sequel, we are introduced to a new hero, Atsu, played by Erika Ishii, who is known for her roles in Cyberpunk 2077 as Ruth Dzeng, Dragon Age The Veilguard as Rook, Mortal Kombat 1 for the voice Sektor and many others.

Ghost of Yotei is still a few months away from releasing on October 2nd, but we want to hear if you are looking forward to the sequel in the comments below.
