Videogame developer ‘Obsidian’ is facing criticism. Some employees have conducted concerning actions online. In regards to their company etiquette and seemingly hatred for white straight males.
Obsidians upcoming game ‘Avowed’ is due to release in the coming months. However, it seems their own employees are keen on creating as much controversy surrounding the game as possible.
Their own art director, Matt Hansen, has gone to war with Elon Musk himself. He has made some very discerning posts over the last two days.
Elon is no stranger to controversy and his stance on the “woke mind virus” is well documented. But Matt Hansen’s reply is rather worrisome. Yet Elon has made it clear that this mans agenda and ideology will certainly be his downfall.
Known streamer ‘Osmongold’ did a dive into some controversial posts by art director Matt Hansen. One of the top honchos at Obsidian, Josh Sawyer retweeted a very odd posting by Matt. He states “We got too many crusty white dudes in this field”.
The industry in its current state. We observe countless games pushing pronouns and transgender ideologies. These games are failing on a colossal level. Frankly gamers are just sick of it. No one really cared when you had the option. Now, it is getting tiresome when it is forced down your throat in almost every title.
Elon is clearly sick of this as and he tagged Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella. I assume he wants to highlight their views. They have a clear biased acceptance of all those prospecting to get a job. Seemingly if you are a white dude, you have little to no hope at getting a job with Obsidian.
Frankly every person was excited for Avowed, myself included, but after the actions and opinions of two employees we have seen a flurry of controversy surrounding this Epic Action Rpg.
The next few days will certainly be interesting to see how this escalates.
