Live and direct from Gamescom 2025, as we have some news for you regarding Kingdom Come Deliverance 2! Warhorse Studios, alongside Deep Silver, have been rustling up something for us fans who managed to finish the latest entry into Henry’s story, in the shape of an upcoming DLC which looks to extend the story and looks to enhance our blacksmithing skills, and maybe even get Henry into a new home…
As we know, when Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 launched, people were excited to jump back into the boots of our beloved hero Henry, who was seen in the initial launch trailer frolicking with fast women and riding horseback in untoward land. Boy were we right to be excited, as the title gave us all of what the first title gave us, and even more, as we got enhanced combat from the first and a massive boost to graphics, but we even got a look at early firearms and crossbows with the advancement of time. I, for one, enjoyed blasting shrapnel at steel-clad enemies with my trusty hand cannon.
However, we got a look at the upcoming DLC which is heading to us on September 9th on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro for an agreeable price of $13.99! Of course, if you are savvy enough to have purchased the gold edition or expansion pass for the game, then you will have access to this DLC at no further cost. We got a look at the blacksmith’s son becoming the master of the forge himself and taking over his father’s dab hand at crafting tools and weapons of the like.
First off, we see how you are welcomed into the blacksmiths’ guild as a young craftsman looking to hone his skills and perfect the craft beyond what his father could do. This is where we see Henry returning to Kuttenberg, where he will be strolling down a path much like his late dad’s, where he will look to achieve greatness as a blacksmith in his parents’ honour, in a craft and guild of his dads which was kept hidden away from our hero… until now it seems.
Not just that, we will also see a customizable home, or forge. However, you will make this piece of land that we see cascading and transforming into different variations of itself. A fully-fledged piece of home which you can make your own as you have over 100 million combinations to truly decide whether you want the forge cranking at full throttle with flames spitting out onto the new carpet you laid down, or whether you want a beautiful home with a modest crafting area, the decision completely rests with you, as the player.
Alongside what we see in the trailer, it is exciting to see that we will be able to work our way up to a new guild that is discovered upon returning to Henry’s past, and not just that, even become the master of said guild! The prospect of working your way up, making simple horseshoes to then throwing out a beautiful longsword and even unique armour sets is awesome, but with daily quests to also complete from the quirky but unique people of Kuttenberg, well, you will see for yourself once you grasp the DLC firmly in thou hands sire or madam!
I for one, am currently smiling ear to ear as this marks the first DLC from the illustrious studio behind this gorgeous yet gritty title. To be able to take your father’s legacy and move it into your own whilst also honing your own craft and forging your own path in Kuttenberg, damn that’s exciting!
