Assassin’s Creed Shadows Topping The Charts And Continues To Climb

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released on March 20th and appears to be a big hit among fans. According to Mat Piscatella, industry analyst at Circana posted on BlueSky that Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has been the best-selling video game in the US for its first 3 weeks on the market. Only to trail behind Capcom’s incredible hit Monster Hunter Wilds.

“Here’s a fun one… Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has been the best-selling video game in the US for each of its first 3 weeks in market, according to Circana’s Retail Tracking Service (dollar sales, latest data through April 5th). Currently ranks #2 year-to-date trailing only Monster Hunter: Wilds.” Stated Mat of BlueSky.

We have yet to hear official numbers from Ubisoft themselves, who are usually quick to point out their successes. Ubisoft did state, however, that Assassin’s Creed Shadows received 3 million players in its first week of launch. Those numbers are a bit abstract as it would be a mix of several factors, including the likelihood of Ubisoft+ members. Either way, it’s a feat that will hopefully continue as Ubisoft was in need of a much-needed hit with the falling of Star Wars Outlaws and other previous titles that haven’t hit the masses, like Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
