Assassin’s Creed Roadmap and What To Get Excited For!

Unsheathe that hidden blade and get ready for a trip to the Animus assassin. We have more to come yet and Ubisoft is looking to grind down on the AC series to make sure of full capitalization on the brand, and you know what? We are here for it!

In this article we will open up the map which Ubisoft wants to head from east to west as a push for the future starts to gain traction! Below we will explain where Ubisoft is going and just what we will be getting.

At this moment in time, Ubisoft has a confirmed strategy for the next six years… SIX YEARS. This is where we can see the franchise have at the very least 9 more Assassin’s Creed games in the form of: 3 Remakes, 2 RPGs, 2 multiplayer games, 1 “smaller experience” and 1 mobile title *deep inhale*.

The strategy is… Well, big to say the least, but ambitious! As previously mentioned, Ubisoft wants to capitalize on the brand as much as possible to give fans of the long-standing series new adventures to wall run, climb and hell even walk into. Let’s delve deeper into the potential titles. At this current minute in time, this is what the AC roadmap will stand upright like, and it needs to be noted that the Assassin’s Creed Netflix game “Mask” has more than likely been kicked down, face first in the dirt.

To kick things off, the codename Jade: this will be an Assassin’s Creed adventure set in China and looks to be the next release in the game series.

Next up, we have the codename Invictus: this title will be an Assassin’s Creed game where players will compete in matches of up to 16 players! If the title falls in with internal expectations, we should expect to see plans for support and updates ready to be made for this game, IF the game takes to the track faster than Usain Bolt.

Codename Obsidian: Assassin’s Creed Blackflag Remake, completely rebuilt in the new Anvil engine. Yes a BLACKFLAG Remake guys, time to get the eye patch out of the closet. It’s time to get back to the high seas! This remake aims to hit the rails at the same time as Invictus!

Codename Hexe: This project is still a work in process with its name as it has already been changed from “Neo”. This title aims to release after Ubisoft has turned out DLC support for AC Shadows, which is planned for around 2 years and Hexe should have roughly 1 year of DLC support.

Codename Scarlet: This title looks to be the next big RPG after Shadows and should release after the support for Hexe is all but finished. There haven’t been any official details on what this title will be. However, it has been signed, sealed and to be delivered. As details come regarding this game, we will be sure to throw it at you, no holds barred.

Codename Stardust: This is the second remake in development and will enter full scale after the Obsidian release has been solidified. Current information is unclear as to what this remake will feature. However, with a name like Stardust, I’m betting we could see some planets align for this one, (I’ll see myself out).

Codename Emerald: This game looks to release shortly after Stardust in the timeline of a couple of months to three and will be a multiplayer title just short of a 5-year plan if the game meets the expectations at Ubisoft. This title could be the PvE game which was previously nicknamed “Raid” or the other anticipated multiplayer game named “Echoes”. By the looks of things, Ubisoft has taken the cancellation axe from one of the title’s heads.

RPG 3: This title does not currently have a codename; however, it is on the roadmap for release after Codename Scarlet’s two years of support.

Remake 3: Again, this title does not have a codename (not cool Ubisoft), but this is a remake that will release around a year after RPG 3’s release has been conducted.

At the end of the roadmap plan, we look to be in the years 2030-2031! Ubisoft looks to be ready to fully execute the plan they have, and hopefully we will be stocking up on Assassin’s Creed games for years to come.

Let us know in the comment section below what you think of the Assassin’s Creed series’ lengthy roadmap?  Which title do you think you’ll be feasting on is akin to the long table of a Game of Thrones dinner party?
