Today we finally had the opportunity to see what’s next for R66 Siege. It’s the new era of Siege!
The new permanent game mode “Dual Front” this new game mode features a 6v6 team-based gameplay. For the first time there will be a mix of attackers and defenders on each team in the 6v6 battle across an ever-evolving map with weekly assignments on a brand new map called District.
Reach the final goal by moving indoors and outdoors for the first time across the map. Respawning is available with the options to change out operators on the fly, similar to other games like Marvel Rivals or Overwatch. Dual Front will have a limited operator pool that appears to be 35 operators to pick from. Ubisoft will be changing out the operators twice per season, and looking to change out the meta per season. Maybe operators will have a strong focus on hard breach and will change in the following season to feel fresh and ever-evolving. Each match will last about 20 to 25 minutes.
Victory conditions can be met within the natural zone. New objectives will trigger in the natural zone after 5 minutes of the match and beyond. You can also obtain victory by pushing the team out of their own zone and eliminating their place of spawn. There is a lot to unpack with this new mode.
