Owlcat Showcases Gorgeous New Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy Art

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is being brought to us by Owlcat Games, who are also bringing us Osiris Reborn, and honestly, with the new art that has been brought to us in the form of desktop and mobile wallpapers, I am stoked! The next entry into the Warhammer universe looks to explore the dank, decaying side of it as we enter into a narrative tactical RPG which is specifically set in the grim dark universe.

As we bear our eyes on the new art, we see a world which is filled with nothing but fear and madness. As the inquisition enters the backdrop of Noctis Aeterna and the intrigue of the Tyrant Star, Dark Heresy looks to have players lead their war band of unique and diverse companions in the ever-long battle of heresy and corruption. Speaking of entering the grim dark universe once more, we take the shape of an acolyte of the inquisition, which hell hast no glory for, as no one awaits their return.

If you haven’t heard of this new Warhammer game, now is the time to learn. As we set foot into the 40K universe again, we step into unfamiliar territory as we take on nefarious veterans of the guard, and Xenos, much like the bird like the Kroot mercenary, we see grim fights and tense encounters. In this title, Owlcat are looking to bring us turn-based combat, intricate investigations and a deeper lore which explores the ideas introduced in Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy will feature fully voiced dialogue which is also a crisp bonus!

In the more recent Dev Diary which is showcased above, we look to see a dark look at what the 40K universe truly is, and our war band of acolytes is out to bring order and decimate any threat to humanity’s survival. I am stoked to see yet another adventure set in the 40K universe, which many studios seem to be tapping into, as we recently saw another entry in the space marine’s boots which saw us take command of returning hero Titus, who earns his bolts by killing Tyranids and Thousands Sons.

Are you guys intrigued by the new wallpapers? And even more so, are you excited about the next title in the Warhammer world? I can’t wait to see what Owlcat can come up with in the turn-based tactical RPG, as it looks like we see an expanded lore from Rogue Trader, as the acolytes look to bring order to chaos. I’m excited to see a dive into the Calixis Sector, which is within the Imperium of Man, which is constantly threatened by the Tyrant Star, and not just this, but I’m looking forward to seeing what conspiracies show up in this rot-filled world. If you share the same excitement I do, head over to our Facebook page, Everything Xbox, to interact with us!
