Avowed Road Map and 1.4 Update

The latest RPG from Obsidian, Avowed, launched earlier this year back in February to the impressive numbers. 5 million players in its early days with Microsoft saying they were happy with the sales so far in the games early days. This is obviously a mix of Steam/Xbox and Xbox Game Pass as far as numbers go. Avowed currently sits at an 81 on Metacritic and if you’ve completed the first Xbox title to use Unreal Engine 5 and are looking for more, Obsidian has given fans a roadmap for fans to look forward to adventuring across Living Lands.

One key feature some fans have requested that has now been implemented is the Arachnophobia mode. Those with a fear of spiders now no longer have to worry about crossing paths with our 8 legged creatures and will instead, face-off with a floating orb that will still pack a punch. Other new features will be changes to how you explore the map. The fog of war will now fully clear areas upon exploring the radius has been increased. Critters themselves will now have the opportunity of dropping loot. Don’t want to head out in the heat of the day? Heading back to camp will now allow you to advance time until you see fit for your next adventure. For more on the quality-of-life improvements be sure to check out the form here.

What’s time to come for the rest of the year for Avowed fans? Expect to see new weapons and armor this summer, cooking and crafting will see improvements and even a long requested photo mode will arrive before the end of the year.

Let us know in the comments if you are still in the Living Lands and if not, will you be returning with this new look at the roadmap?
