Death Stranding 2 | Title could last nearly twice as long as original!

Death stranding 2 will be a gigantic game within its own right and now we have news in from Eurogamer, Who recently managed to get their hands on the game and had the chance to play it for around 30 hours at Kojima Productions HQ and gave the info to us that this gameplay transfers to roughly 40% of the game’s story! This means the title could last as long as 75 hours, nearly double the standard playtime of the last instalment of 40 hours.

One massive change we have in this title compared to the first is the combat. Kojima has said that this was partly because people are crying out for a new Metal Gear instalment. Kojima said “There are so many people asking me to make another Metal Gear, so i added more options for combat”. Now that comes with the question of – how much will it feel like Metal Gear? Who knows, however, this wouldn’t be too much of a bad thing considering Metal Gears’s solid combat.

The length of time, however, that we are roughly working out isn’t too much of a shock to the system when you think that the first title was a first deliverance from a brand-new studio and, whilst it had support from Sony, it was still a new IP from a brand-new team! Even though it was spearheaded by a powerhouse of a game designer in Kojima. We should, however, expect a Kojima twist in this title despite the game going for a bigger and better feel!

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach releases on June 26th alongside a new limited-edition Dualsense controller. The game will feature on the PS5 however with Kojima Productions grabbing the publishing rights from Sony. It’s fair to say that we can expect to see the title on PC and Xbox (like the first game) in the future!

Let us know what you think so far of the news surrounding Death Stranding 2! Do you think that the game being bigger will equally mean better? Or do you think that the game being bigger could mean a sense of boredom? As always, keep up with us for future updates!
